Do Not Track Disclosure

We also may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking). Please realize that certain web browsers may allow a user to enable a “do not track” option that sends signals to the websites the user visits indicating that the user does not want the user’s online activities tracked. This is different than blocking cookies, and browsers with the “do not track” option selected may still accept cookies. There is currently no universally-accepted technology standard for recognizing and implementing “do not track” signals. Furthermore, our Website and Services currently do not have the functionality to recognize or honor “do not track” browser signaling. Thus, we do not respond to “do not track” signals. If a standard for online tracking is adopted in the future that we must follow, or if we otherwise are able to respond to such signals, we will modify this Privacy Policy accordingly.

Rights in Nevada

Nevada provides its residents with a limited right to opt-out of certain personal information sales. Rights in California

California Shine the Light Law

California’s “Shine the Light” law (California Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We currently do not make such disclosures, but, to the extent we undertake such disclosures, you could make a request regarding our disclosures by sending an e-mail to privacy@campdeforest.com.

California Do Not Track Disclosure (CalOPPA)

Pursuant to the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), at Cal. Business & Professions Code §§22575-79, to the extent we collect any personal information from any California residents, we are required to disclose to those California residents whether we respond to their “do not track” requests. More specifically, certain web browsers may allow a user to enable a “do not track” option that sends signals to the websites the user visits indicating that the user does not want the user’s online activities tracked. This is different than blocking cookies, and browsers with the “do not track” option selected may still accept cookies. Since there is currently no universally-accepted technology standard for recognizing and implementing “do not track” signals and since our Website and other Services do not have the functionality to recognize or honor “do not track” browser signaling, we do not respond to “do not track” signals. If a standard for online tracking is adopted in the future that we must follow, or if we otherwise are able to respond to such signals, we will modify this Privacy Policy accordingly.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, California law may provide you with additional rights regarding a business’ use of your personal information under the CCPA. We (and our Website) are not current a covered business subject to the restrictions and regulations of the CCPA, but we nonetheless are diligent about protecting your privacy rights and about honoring any requests from our users regarding their personal information. To learn more about your California privacy rights under the CCPA, see the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, California Civil Code § 1798.100, et seq. or visit the California Attorney General FAQs about the CCPA at https://oag.ca.gov/privacy/ccpa. See also above under “Rights in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.”

While we are not required to comply at present, we will do our best to respond to your requests. Just as the CCPA provides, if you are a California resident, you may request once a year, free of charge, certain information regarding our disclosures of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. Specifically, if we engage in any direct marketing, and if you request it, we will provide a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for third-party direct marketing purposes, along with the names and addresses of these third parties. To make such a request, please contact us using the contact information at the bottom of this Privacy Policy. We reserve our right not to respond to requests submitted other than to the contact points listed below. You should put “California Privacy Rights” in the subject line and in your request. We may need to verify your identity before providing information to you.

Data Security

We have implemented commercially reasonable measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. Any payment transactions and sensitive information will be encrypted using SSL technology or other industry-accepted technology.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. To the extent we have public areas of the Website, like message boards or chats, we urge you to be careful about giving out information in such public areas. The information you share in public areas may be viewed by any user of the Website.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Website or applications or otherwise to use over the Internet. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website.
